Here's a list of my favorite authors/musicians/composers ...keep in mind that this is more or less irrelevant to the actual blog xD.
Oddworld Inhabitants- These guys changed everything for me. the first game I ever played was a "replay" edition of 'Abe's Exodus'. Even if I was only 7 at that time the background art for the game made me wish that I could draw like that. This and the twisted mirror that Oddworld is for our world really reshaped my imagination and I'm really grateful for this.
The Dark Tower Saga- Stephen King's 'Lifelong Offspring' and one of his greatest creations. Strongly inspired by Tolkien and the Wild-West phantasm. Still looking for the last two books though, I don't know why but getting the books is a lot harder than reading and enjoying them.Keep in mind that this is very different from anything that King wrote, so even if you're not a Stephen King fan it's worth a look.
H.P Lovecraft- What can I say...I first ran into this guy when I was 10. I didn't get most of his short stories at that time, you can imagine, but I still found him extremely interesting and now that i found a collection of his weirdest tales my interest is altogether renewed. I can honestly see why people like Stephen King chose him for inspiration.
J.R.R. Tolkien- Okay, you can accuse me of not being original but the guy just has to be on the list. Even your average less-geeky dude would acknowledge Tolkien as being the father of them all ( C.S Lewis can't even be compared to him In my opinion). Well the folklore and the mythology was there before him but he had the guts to harvest it and the genius mind to put it together like he did.
Terry Pratchett- He was something of a catalyst to me to be honest. He took everything I liked and kinda put it in another light. Great writer, Great plots, Great humor, Great...website... I guess.
Joe Satriani- He's my nr.1 composer :D . He's also one of my favorite musicians. Not to mention my guitar-wise idol :)
I can play all of his medium difficulty songs and some of the harder ones(summer song, awmawy,some of crush of love.
I'm still learning so...
